Attorney Jeanne Koehr graduated Magna Cum Laude from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 1983. Since then, she has gained years of legal experience as a trial lawyer, prosecutor, defense attorney, and member of the Division of Insurance Board of Appeal, where she heard and ruled on thousands of hardship license appeals during years of service as the Attorney General’s Designee on the Board of Appeal.

In addition to being an experienced trial attorney with an impressive track record, Attorney Koehr serves as an expert resource for other lawyers throughout Massachusetts on the collateral consequences of DUI convictions. She regularly instructs attorneys regarding Melanie’s Law and how to obtain hardship relief for deserving DUI and other clients. She often lectures for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) program and she is highly respected in courts throughout Massachusetts.

Attorney Koehr represents clients in all matters involving serious automobile law violations, license suspensions, drunk driving, and various motor vehicle criminal offenses. She handles a large number of cases involving immediate threat complaints, drunk driving charges, reckless driving offenses, operating after suspension citations and ignition interlock violations. Prior to her appointment on the Board of Appeal, she operated a busy and successful law practice where she gained extensive experience in criminal, civil, and probate matters. She employed and supervised associate attorneys, paralegals and clerical staff.
